Mod GRF 1-29 is a tetra-substituted analogue of sermorelin (GHRH 1-29) engineered to resist DPP-IV cleavage, giving it slightly improved stability relative to native sermorelin but still a short plasma half-life of around 30 minutes. It is functionally identical to CJC-1295 without DAC and acts as a GHRH receptor agonist. When combined with a GH secretagogue such as ipamorelin or GHRP-2, it produces a synergistic GH pulse. Most protocols dose it subcutaneously once or twice daily. Tracking injection timing, meal proximity, and response is recommended due to variability in individual GH response.
Mechanism
A modified fragment of GHRH (often called modified GRF 1-29 or CJC-1295 without DAC), engineered for improved stability relative to native GHRH(1-29). It stimulates the GHRH receptor to promote pulsatile growth-hormone release, with a short duration of action.
Research summary
Studied as a short-acting GHRH analog in early pharmacology work. It is not an FDA-approved therapeutic, and long-term human outcome data are limited.
